Birthdays

Due to our school-wide focus on healthy choices and to the rising cases of food allergies, I have decided that our class will not have edible birthday treats but will celebrate birthdays in a new way. We will instead make your child's special day important by: giving your child a new book from the teacher and a pencil from Mr. Wheaton, giving him/her a birthday sticker to wear, singing a special song to your child, making your child special helper for the day, allowing your child to sit in the brand new “birthday chair” for the day, and playing a special game in class or having extra recess in honor of your child's birthday. I appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Birthday Invitations

It is my policy that invitations not be passed out at school unless there is an invite for each child in the class or all boys or all girls. When only selected students are given invitations it creates hurt feelings for those who are left out. I can provide you with addresses of the students in the class so that invitations may be sent from home. Please let me know if you do not want your address shared.
