Meet Mrs. Runk |
Welcome to Fifth Grade!
My name is Robin Runk. I am originally from eastern Pennsylvania and I graduated in 1990 from
Millersville University with a dual degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I completed my Master's Degree in Literacy Studies at
Western Michigan University in 2009.
I am excited to begin my sixth year in fifth grade. I have been a part of the
Mattawan family for the past nine years where I began as a guest teacher
at the Early Elementary and the Later Elementary. I have taught First Grade, Second Grade, and Sixth Grade while in Pennsylvania prior to relocating to Ireland for three years where I was active in their school system. My family moved to Michigan upon our return in 2002.
My husband Craig and I have two children. Matthew graduated from Mattawan in 2010. Patrick is a freshman at the High School and loves soccer.
I am looking forward to an exciting year. You have entrusted me with your most special gift, your
child. I am blessed that I spend every day doing what I love. I set high expectations for your child to do their personal best and our classroom environment provides that opportunity.
