Language Arts
Sora – Download the app for free or read/listen on-line. LES students all know their log in and have logged in at school in the Media Center this year. Students use their typical log-in for school.
Destiny – Look up a book to see if it is “honors” or reading levels of books and book summaries from the Mattawan Later Elementary School Media Center.
Destiny Webpath Express – A safe, credible and fun educational search tool for PreK-12 students and teachers. WebPath Express integrates more than 105,000 trustworthy, relevant websites into your library catalog while filtering out questionable and irrelevant content.
Michigan eLibrary – Encyclopedia and more.
Raz-Kids – Online guided reading program with interactive ebooks, downloadable books, and reading quizzes. All students in our third grade will have a paid, active subscription.
IXL –IXL provides personalized learning in Language Arts and Math. Students have their own accounts.
Quill – Quill provides free writing and grammar activities.
BrainPop – Animated Educational Site for Kids – Science, Social Studies, English, Math, Arts
EPIC – A digital library for kids offering unlimited access to 35000 of the best children’s books of all time.
NewsELA – They take authentic content from the world’s most trusted providers and turn it into learning materials that are classroom-ready.
Learning Ally – Download the Learning Ally Link app and you can listen to your books online. (This is for students with accounts created by teachers already).
Storyline – Stories read aloud by celebrities.
Letter Generator – Learn the parts of a letter and then learn to write one.
The Nature of Writing Collection – Short writing, grammar and literature informative videos. (Parts of speech, punctuation, sentence structure, etc.)
Math
Pearson Envision Math – K-5 Program math program used at Mattawan Later Elementary School. Students log in.
IXL – IXL provides personalized learning in Language Arts and Math. Students have their own accounts.
Reflex Math Facts – Individualized online game-based math fact fluency practice.
Sumdog –Free Subscription until March 31. Grammar, Spelling & Math.
Prodigy – Math learning platform for grades 1–8.
Math Games – Math games online that practice math skills using fun interactive content.
Khan Academy – They have lessons ready for all grades, not just math, they have a schedule each day with other links for students in math, science, social studies and more!
Science
Mystery Science – Mystery Science offers open-and-go lessons that inspire kids to love science. Mystery Science is used at Mattawan Later Elementary School 3-5.
Social Studies
Estudies Weekly – Engaging weekly newspapers or magazines that the Mattawan Later Elementary Fourth graders use.
Scholastic News – Teaches current events in your elementary classroom, grades 1-6.
National Museum of American History – Devoted to the scientific, cultural, social, technological, and political development of the United States, the museum traces the American experience from colonial times to the present.
